Depressurize the cylinder and rotate the crankshaft. When decompressing, if the rebound force of the piston is large, the flywheel rotates rapidly, indicating that the wear level of the cylinder liner, piston and piston ring is small. At this point, the reading of the oil pressure gauge should not be less than 1 or the red float indicating oil pressure can quickly rise, and manual pressure on the float should be laborious.

 

Starting a diesel engine is relatively easy, with colorless or light gray exhaust, stable speed, and no noise, indicating that the diesel engine is in good technical condition.
